The Short Version: VectorGraph is built on an "Offline-First" architecture. The graphs you upload, the regions you mask, the OCR analysis we run on axis labels, and the data you extract are all processed entirely in your local browser. We do not upload your images, we do not store your data on our servers, and we do not require accounts.

1. What Data Do We Process Locally?

When you use the VectorGraph Workspace, the following data is processed and stored exclusively on your device within your browser's IndexedDB and LocalStorage:

2. What Data Leaves Your Device?

We are completely transparent about the minimal data that leaves your device to enable core functionality:

A. Excel Generation (The Export API)

Because generating complex, multi-sheet .xlsx files with embedded charts, Math Tools worksheets, and Fit Results sheets is computationally demanding, clicking "Export Excel" securely transmits your extracted numerical coordinate array (JSON) to our secure FastAPI backend. This payload contains numbers only — no images, no file names, and no personal identifiers are ever sent. The backend processes the file in RAM, returns the generated .xlsx file to you, and immediately discards the data. It is never logged, cached, or written to disk.

B. Feedback Form

If you use the built-in feedback form, it will open your default email client. Any information you choose to include in the email will be transmitted via your email provider to support.vectorgraph@gmail.com.

C. Telemetry and Analytics

To understand our application's performance and usage, we use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. If you consent to analytics via the cookie banner, these services collect anonymized, aggregated data such as:

If you decline analytics or revoke consent, no tracking cookies or Vercel telemetry are activated.

3. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Because we do not require accounts or store your personal extraction data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to delete upon request. To erase all VectorGraph data, simply clear your browser's Local Storage and IndexedDB for this site via Developer Tools (F12 > Application > Clear site data).

You can withdraw your consent for Vercel Analytics tracking at any time by clicking "Decline" on the Cookie Consent banner or by clearing your cookies.
